INDEPENDENCE DAY RESURGENCE

It has been a long wait since the first release of Independence Day which was about 20 years ago. It is hard to believe that Roland Emmerich vision for the sequel is finally arriving like the Alien mother ship of the size of the Atlantic ocean settling down the clouds and into our atmosphere. Over the years moviegoers are so use to disaster movies thrown at them, it may be a tough time for this sequel especially we are very much numb with all the explosions in Transformers, Avengers and many others.

We will never know until we watch the entire movie but from what we observe from the trailers, it is going to be the biggest disaster movie in 2016 and possibly all time. Sorry about my expression, disaster here means earth destruction kind of disaster and not disaster as in failure. Well, whether the movie fail or excel, who doesn't wants to know about the second part of ID4?

It is great to know that Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman are reprising their roles but sadly Will Smith did not sign on for this ride. Maybe Will is too busy being in The Suicide Squad.
