Will DC Redeem Themselves in The Suicide Squad?
These days the super heroes genre has gone into full gear with non stop releases in the movie theaters with mostly all filmmakers are hoping to blast their way into the box office. Marvel has done some of the most memorable and entertaining super heroes releases thus far from Iron Man, Captain America, Guardians of The Galaxy, Ant-Man to Avengers 1 and Avengers : Age of Ultron. DC is also nothing short of spectacle with their The Dark Knight series and Man of Steel. We will probably be seeing another 2 dozens of these super heroes movies line up to usher us into the next decade.
The next DC onslaught is the introduction of The Suicide Squad, also known as Task Force X, the antihero "strike team" of incarcerated, death row supervillains and acting unwillingly in the high risk covert operations of the United States government. The upcoming Suicide Squad feature film will have an impressive ensemble of stars like Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Will Smith, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, Scott Eastwood, Jay Hernandez, Karen Fukuhara and Cara Delevingne.
One of the character to watch is Jared Leto character as Joker and most are wondering whether he can tops the performance by Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight. Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn is another fun, witty, crazy and sexy character to lookout for in this movie. There are so many characters to introduce and develop in one movie that DC is under tremendous pressure to deliver it to the fans. If Suicide Squad does not do well, most fans may possibly brand DC as sub-par in bringing super heroes movie to life mainly due to the recent Batman V Superman mediocre performance in the box office.
Well, before we start judging the movie like
the critics in rotten tomatoes, let us all enjoy it first at the movies.
